Cristalizaciones by Lula Romero

The work "Cristalizaciones" is an attempt at a sonic exploration of the piano.

The 1st movement "Agregados" consists of arpeggios spreading over the whole piano, obsessively repeated with small variations, interrupted by other motifs related to the first. Thus, structure-giving columns are formed, opening windows into different spaces.

The 2nd movement "Cristalizaciones" explores the idea of the growth of the material from a small cell. (Crystallization).

The 3rd movement "Fractura del tiempo" are rhythmic, harmonic and tempo impressions through four layers of sound.

The work is dedicated to the Duo Enclave de Dos and was premiered by us on June 30, 2010 at the "Mimma" Museum, Malaga during the music festival "Plikifest".
